Corporate Intelligence Professional To Speak at BTAC
John J. McGonagle, Managing Partner of The Helicon Group, will Show how Security and Intelligence Professionals can Thwart Economic Espionage
New York, NY — The Business Threat Awareness Council will hold a breakfast meeting with special guest speaker, John J. McGonagle on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 9:00 AM in midtown Manhattan.
His topic, "Security and CI: Defending Against Economic Espionage", will detail how Corporate Intelligence professionals teaming up with Security professionals can counter the rising tide of Economic Espionage.
“Corporate intelligence, also known as Competitive Intelligence, is limited by laws, such as the Economic Espionage Act of 1996, as well as ethical guidelines such as those created by the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals”, McGonagle explains. “Still, CI and Security professionals are usually aware of what is happening in their company before anyone else and are sensitive to anomalous behavior and threats both internal and external to their company. That is why it is important to have high level cooperation between the corporate security and intelligence teams.”
There is no charge for this event; however space is limited so you must RSVP by email to BTAC President, George Karshner at:
